Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking a stay at Maskan — furnished apartments in Srinagar, Kashmir.

Booking & Contact

What makes Maskan different from hotels in Srinagar?

Maskan offers complete privacy in an independent furnished apartment — your own kitchen, living space, and entrance. No restaurant markups, freedom to cook your own meals, and a host who lives next door and knows Srinagar personally. It is a 5-star Airbnb experience at a fraction of the cost of a comparable Srinagar hotel.

How do I book a stay at Maskan?

You can book directly via WhatsApp (+91 9906693535), phone +91 9797738767, or email rafiqiestates@gmail.com. We are also listed on Airbnb. Direct bookings are always welcome — they offer more flexibility and are often more affordable.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash (INR) and UPI. For Airbnb bookings, payment is processed through Airbnb's platform.

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

There is no strict minimum. We accept short stays of 1–2 nights as well as extended stays of several months. For peak season (April–May, July–August), we recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance.

Apartments & Amenities

What is the difference between a Studio and a 2BHK apartment?

Studio apartments (Noor 3A, Chinar 3B, Sukoon 3C) are loft-style units on the 3rd floor with a king-size bed, kitchenette, and bathroom — ideal for 1–2 guests, starting from ₹3,000 per night. The 2BHK apartments (Tarseel 1A, Nazm 1B, Posh 1C) have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, balcony, and living area — ideal for families of up to 4 guests, starting from ₹6,000 per night.

What amenities are included in every apartment?

All apartments include high-speed WiFi, fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette, free parking, inverter backup power, room-darkening blinds, bed linen, towels, iron, hangers, and LCD TV. 2BHK units also include a washing machine and balcony.

Which apartments have air conditioning?

Air conditioning is available in Tarseel (1A), Nazm (1B), Noor (3A), and Sukoon (3C). Posh (1C) and Chinar (3B) use ceiling fans and natural ventilation — Srinagar's summers are mild and air conditioning is rarely needed.

Is breakfast available?

A homemade Kashmiri breakfast is available for ₹500 per person per day, by arrangement. Please let us know when booking.

Do you allow long-term stays?

Yes. We actively welcome extended stays — weekly, monthly, or longer. Discounts are available for weekly and monthly bookings. Contact us directly for long-term pricing.

Spring (March–May) is tulip season — the most popular time. Summer (June–August) is great for day trips to Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonamarg.
